Press [Ctrl + G] or go to options > speed guide
02.Then test if your port forwards correctly.
* If not manually set the port. It’s better use a port up to 10000. (Don’t use ‘Random Port’ option and check it forwards correctly or not.
Didn’t get any luck…! Then there are two possible reasons…
• If you are using a router, you have to forward your port. To do this check out this site
• If not it may be a problem with your ‘Internet Security’ software. In my case, I’m using Kaspersky Internet Security. So I had to add my port in port setting. You can find out the same scenario with your virus guard.
Now everything is OK with basic settings.
03. Next follow these steps,
Go to Options > Preferences > Bittorrent at Protocol Encryption
choose Enabled or Force.
Go to Options > Preferences > Bandwidth
Set your Global Upload Rate Limiting as bellow,
Your Upload speed(KB/s) * 0.8
(Remember usually your download or upload speed shows as Kb/s..EX.128Kb/s.So you have convert it to KB/s. To do this divide your Kb/s speed by 8)
Next Set your Global Download Rate Limiting as bellow,
Your Download speed(KB/s) * 0.9
Optional
And here is another noticeable setting, little bit advance..
Beginning with Windows XP sp2, all windows versions have had built into their tcpip.sys file a limiter that restricts a large number of tcp connections being opened at the same moment. This limits the number of concurrent connection made by torrent software to download files. In order to increase this limit you can download Half-open limit fix (patch) for Windows from here. It will actually patches your tcpip.sys file in windows.
You can increase your Half-open limit as you want. It is prety enough increase it up to 100.
Now carefully follow this step,
Go to Options > Preferences > Advanced > net.max_halfopenSet the value as 80 (Default 8-You can see *80 after you set the value)
I can’t certify with above setting(Optional). But you can try it. In some cases it works great. If you get bad luck with it, just ignore it.
You can easily reset net.max_halfopen by Options > Preferences > Advanced > net.max_halfopen > Reset
And also restore original net.max_halfopen file.
Also read my post about Brows the Internet as usually even downloading..
I hope this will help you as enough..
This is a very useful post.It's amazing.Thanks a lot.Keep posting.
